How to describe these feathery creatures, I don’t always have the words so I am hoping that the bird photos will contribute to that task. Each one displays their personality, I like to try to get that in the lens. (Even if the “personality” is just in my mind when I am photographing them - lol) From the colors of the feathers to the dexterity they exhibit as they preen or hold some food to eat, birds interesting to look at and spend time with. I have enjoyed doing photo shoots in the winter of humming birds eating from feeders covered in snow as well as taking a photo of a humming bird in the rain.

I loved traveling to Western Australia to photography the species of birds there. I especially appreciate the flying bird floating on the thermals among the clouds as they seem so adept and acrobatic to me. Wow! I find that really lovely to behold time and time again. The birds gentle feathers give them other worldly presence or persona as they become like a fashion accessory. Each bird photo has its own something special and I am enjoying them very much when it's translated to the viewer.

Bird photos on the wall allow the room to feel open and expansive.
